Jog on South East Asia! Australia Is Where It's at for Party Holiday Destinations

Sets On The Beach

The issues you can encounter in Asia are at best a tad inconvenient and at worst, down right dangerous, nethertheless they are just plain annoying. Whether it’s forgetting to order your mojito without ice and getting the shits…literally, running into visa troubles at the border or being bitten to death by bedbugs- there is a very unglamorous side to travelling Southeast Asia.

No need to panic. There is somewhere better for you to travel to. A land with clean bright beaches, amazing food, luxurious accommodation and all the beach parties your heart could ever desire - and the best bit is, you may be here already!

The location

Picture this: sun beaming down, a cold beer in your hand, gazing out to the purest whitest sands and crystal turquoise water you have ever seen. Sounds like a far-away exotic location like the Thai Full Moon experience right? Wrong. It’s Spring Break Whitsundays, nestled in beautiful Tropical North QLD.

Whether it’s Bali, Thailand or Cambodia, the beaches and weather in SEA just don’t compare to Australia, often covered in plastic, dead fish, bits of glass and the water can be murky, dirty and brown.

In Australia clear and clean water thankfully isn’t a luxury. It makes our beaches world-class, like Whitehaven Beach, just ask Tripadvisor! (nominated for best beach in the world [link to: https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/TravelersChoice-Beaches-cTop-g1])- and what tops it, is that you can party here during the day, catch some snorkelling in the arvo and be back in time for the massive parties at night apart of the Spring Break madness.

The accommodation

It’s where you’re going to wake up most mornings hungover, with little to no dignity left, cuddled up to some random guy or girl next to you. So it’s safe to say, the place you stay at is pretty important.

In Asia you can get your good hostels sure, but a lot of the time it's a mattress on the floor with stained pillows and sheets, that give off a questionable smell.

In Oz, we are all about standards, so you can leave those bed bugs and mozzie bites behind in Asia and instead stay in clean seaside shacks with cool poolside bars and private beaches.

The food

Now don’t get us wrong, we love a pad thai as much as the next person; but do the chicken feet curries and egg fried everything really beat Aussie cuisine? The answer my friends, is of course not.

Whether your snack of choice is chicken parmy, Tim Tams, Kangaroo burgers, Golden Gaytimes or 76 Anzac biscuits at once - it still beats a gazillion different variations of chicken and rice.

The Parties

Sure, the Full Moon Parties in Thailand are fun but they can also be downright sketchy. Who really wants to come back home without their wallet and score burns from that fire skipping rope, you thought you were tough even to jump. In Oz, it's all smooth sailing, especially when you have festivals like Islandlife throwing weekend benders, dazzling sunsets, banging sound systems and some huge electronic acts.

And all the rest...

When you venture overseas there are always the other random things people such as your travel agent coincidentally forgot to mention.

There’s the countries were you need a return flight home to even enter or small stay visas like Vietnam, in addition to you running the risk of being victim to a child pick pocketer and ending up with a bunch of weird currency, where you’re not sure if the coins are worth enough to buy a flight home or a packet of crisps.

Look. We will wrap up the SEA bashing because it’s ultimately your choice where you go.

But with some of the most beautiful locations, biggest and best parties and the most affordable holidays here in Australia, Isn't it time you check out what's going on in your own backyard?
